16 years ago, we started developing an amazing trail network on this land once impenetrable. Today, more than 70 miles of high standard trails provide the visitor with access to breathtaking views of the Patagonian Andes and a variety of natural attractions you could only see in a place that has remained untouched.
Our approach to tourism development is one that rigorously cares environmental protection, supports the local community and creates a profitable sustainable business, offering good jobs, better quality of life and a world-class experience for visitors.
We conceive the park as an exploration playground where the possible activities are countless: hiking, fly fishing, rock climbing, kayaking, biking, horse riding, bird watching, snowshoeing, bathing in natural hot springs and soaking up the local culture are some of them.
Futangue Park presents a unique opportunity, a place with its own identity where natural phenomenons develop and extend in all sectors of the park. The extension and diversity of ecosystems invites visitors to explore, walk and contemplate moving scenery.
We need a logo that contains the name “Parque Futangue” and an image, shape, figure or symbol that represents the park. Parque is the Spanish translation for park and Futangue means great valley, written in the native language of the Huilliches, millenary people from southern Chile.
The typography and the logo should reflect a sense of exploration, purity, adventure and movement; it should make future tourists want to discover this place; it must be attractive as the park itself; it has to communicate the values of nature and balance of a place where time fades away while you are out there exploring, taking pictures, learning or just enjoying life.
We would like to use the logo for all our communications (website, press notes, leaflets, merchandising, etc.)
Good luck!

Description by designer Mooiniet:
Hello!
Retry. I tried to capture everything you said in a stylish image. You see a compass that swirls inside. It should represent direction, movement, adventure. In combination with a posh letter like many are using. I thought it was stylish, but maybe a bit to abstract, so I also added a more 'natural' proposal of the same concept. You could reconize the more earthy elements, like water and leaves that move with the circular shape of the compass.
I's like to know what you think, alterations can always be made.

Ola!
Just a test in a different direction then what I am seeing in the other entries. A modern, stylish letter with a fresh representative illustration.
I look forward to your reaction, I can always make adjustments.

I need something elegant, sober, abstract and creative, it definitely has to be cool. You want an example , look what Vega did

this logo doesn´t tellme anything, you are trying to draw the park. What if you focus on the experience of exploration with the elements of other times ( the compass rose, the figure of the conqueror, old maps of Patagonia, the southern cross represented in the centaur constellation, an explorer using the sextant, the astrolabe, the old ships, The native god called "Pillan", the amphibians as the natural treasure of the park ( darwin frog or tree frog) with a tatoo of the "pillan" in the back, representing the ancestors of the people that live there these days. Use one or more of these elements to create a conceptual story. Do some research

Hi,
I can tell you are a bit frustrated with all the entries in the contest. You want something conceptual, but conceptual takes a lot of time and research. I will not put a lot of time in contests, since there is no guarantee you will win and get your hours paid. I am trying to run a business and offer my clients high-end solutions, I do this Brandsupply 'for fun', to give my creativity an extra outlet. Plus, I have never been to your park, I have never been to South America, or even further than France, so how can I capture the essence of your parc when I have never been there? I can't do proper research and write a good concept. Photo's are not enough, I am afraid, I looked at photo's of the parc that I could find and got a very adventurous feel out of them -> hence my proposal.
If I can find the time I will try to make something else!

I started thinking that maybe something conceptual was the option once I realized that most of the designs that I was receiving including nature elements like animals, mountains and trees were really bad,so I thought if someone can´t do a cool logo with nature elements, maybe it was better to try with different concepts, concepts that you can understand even if you haven´t been in southamerica

so if you can´t capture the essence , i will tell you what the essence is : exploration, adventure, untouched nature. The challenge is to find the elements that could represent some of these ideas
