Here is a new edit of the design, as you requested. Please rate my designs in return for these edits. Thank you.
I have selected a couple of more fonts for you to choose from, and also several color options. -
ron2013 says :
do you have another idea instead of a clef? it should define artwork as well not only music...?

An edit of my previous entry, as to the client's request. Many things are possible with this logo, and it's flexibility recognizability is its greatest strength.
I have added a few size variations for the Treble Clef, also one where it is rotated slightly to better match the curves of the wings. I have also used 3 different fonts from the original (bottom left near match, top left more contrasting and vintage, bottom right a little bit more modern) — the clef size is the same here as in the originals so your choice is not biased by them. -
ron2013 says :
i like the smallest clef...what about differet fonts? and i would like to see one without the clef...and what about different pastell colors?

Description by designer hoyno:
I've gone for a bit of vintage vibe with this design, but not too much. This way, you can easily reproduce the logo on all sorts of media, from t-shirts to stickers, to perhaps your drummer's kick drum skin.
I've added a few options here, to give you an idea of how the logo could be used. The version with the artist's name is for general use, on posters and so on, while the cleaner version (without the name, just the symbol) could be used on small stickers and t-shirts, as it becomes more recognized. The symbol would also work well on a banner.
I've chosen soft, muted colors here, of course any color could be used. If required, I can make a simplified version which can be used on pictures (all-black or all-white version would work best.) This would be included in the reward price, if you'd like.
The green background is for illustration purposes, but could be used as part of the logo. It is designed to work together with it.
I've stuck to your butterfly idea — often a first idea is the strongest, because it resonates emotionally. The treble cleff symbol not only illustrates that you are an artist, but it is also the staff used to denote treble instruments, such as the acoustic guitar. Female voices are also written in treble clef.
I believe this logo could be a great cornerstone for an artistic career, and the main symbol can be modified and re-used in many contexts (it could be easily integrated in other artworks).
-Another cool idea which I've just had; you could do actual butterfly wings next to a treble clef (perhaps on a musical notation sheet) as a sort of album cover? This will cement the symbol as an icon. Just an idea :) -

i like the color....the clef distrubs...perhaps something different or without it...also another font perhaps...

Thank you for your response! I'm going to make these quick changes, again with some variations — to show you the possibilities.
