The logo should have it's name in it: "De Grote Improvisatieshow" (The Great Improvisation Show).
What I would like is "Grote" to be big or at least standing out. Perhaps over-the-top big or in neon letters or in "Live-at-the-Apollo"-letters or anything that will surprise me and make the audience smile.
Other important thing: it must be square or rectangular (portrait) so that we can make a cut-out of it to hang in the Studio-background.
Think city, latenight, comedycafe, theatre, big!

Hello Jacco,
This is my contribution, i hope you like it :)
A bit about my idea behind this:
after reading the info i thought how does an improvising artist express Grote? Arms to the side and a convincing expression on the face : This Big! So that was my starting point. Because a logo needs to be readable/recognisable on small formats,i found drawing a person, even in a stylistic way too much. So i chose for the symbol star (also reflecting the artists and performing artists life) The 5 legs of the star are head hand and feet. I put the word Grote between the 'hands'
I put metal foil in warm colours over the brick wall to make the wall shine, to reflect (litarally and figuratively) the audience . But its still a roughish texture. The letters are long big letters like yo see on theaters. You can make pannels and standing banners on stage. Because of the metal foil it will reflect (in a moderate way) the audience, and last but not least the lights, it will give extra exitement on stage.
I was thinking for the PR to use the star and the word big as props in pictures and they can also be used in a fysical form as props on stage. All shiny and big.Tthe star is made of metal foil and the letters of shiny plastic (or something with a very smooth texture) so you can lift it easy.
I would love to help you all develop it further.
Please note this is a sketch / idea that i will perfect for you if you choose my design. Also viewing on laptop screens can vary a lot with the real design (online or in print) re impression of colour. -
