Needs

One of our new products, GRID, is planned to be launched within a short period of time. GRID (written as GR:D) is an online web application designed for the offshore energy industry (oil, gas and wind) and is roughly comparable to Google Maps. This application distinguishes itself with advanced functionalities that offer better insight in developments concerning a company’s offshore assets. With GR:D we aim to get specialized offshore information directly to the table of decision-makers.
We invite you to create a logo that gives GR:D its very own identity. We would like this logo to reflect values as trustworthiness and are looking for somewhat of a minimalistic design. Moreover, we would like the design to meet the same aspiration as the application. Finally, we intend to use the logo in both browser and promotion material such as flyers.
On our yet to be launched company website we have decided to us the colours below. We would like to see some of these colours back in the design.

A lot of the input has a focus on the name of the application. We'd rather see this left out or processed in the logo. Please minimize additional text as e.g. offshore energy. Thank you!
