It all started with an idea...

A short, interactive guide helped them discover their design style and clearly captured what they needed.

Needs

design a logo for a security consulting firm. we work with corporate security departments across the country (Canada) and in some cases we act as an outsourced security ressource. the brand has to convey peace of mind. said departments are often very conservative and are looking for our ressources to be solid. mandates are either for permanent placement or for project specific mandates. the firm currently uses a rook (chess piece) to represent a castle or tower. we like the imagery but the logo itself is amateurish.

Colors, favourites and other requirements

note I made a typo in the contest name ... the business is called FOLMSECUR (i missed the L).

i would like the logo to not be too busy. not too many colors (2 or 3 max). shading is ok with the letters. I typically write the letters s c and u in a different color (the remaining letters spell my name).

I prefer to not have the - secure advice tagline in the logo - because of the billingual nature of the local market.

I am not 100% stuck on the rook imagery.

Hello Mr. Folmer,

This is my proposition for your Logo.
I kept the color combination in two collors, using the red from the Canadian flag, i used the rook twice and together the form the M in the word FORMSECUR. I also used the maple leaf.
I hope you like this proposition

with regards

thanks wim. i like it but find it a l little too busy with the two maple leaves. would love to see it without the two maple leaves.
