It all started with an idea...

A short, interactive guide helped them discover their design style and clearly captured what they needed.

Needs

Design a modern and luxurious logo for a new, young Amsterdam shipping company. We offer luxury boat trips in Amsterdam. The logo is placed on the side of the boat and is used on website, social media, business cards and the like.

The logo must match what we offer the customer. Key words are: an experience, a unique experience, a luxury getaway, good service, leisure, pleasure.

The logo may have something nautical, and we're looking for something with the right classic / modern ratio. Our boat has the colors white and dark blue with woodwork, and the logo must match. The logo may also exude something catchy (you can have a blast with it!). It would be nice if our name came back in the logo: Rederij Voogd.

Company description

Canal cruises 'Rederij Voogd' is a new Amsterdam company, specializing in tours on the Amsterdam canals within the luxury segment. Our company is young, trendy, and sails on a large boat (up to 50 people) with an electric motor, therefore ultramodern and without emissions or pollution. The boat is luxurious and one-of-a-kind.

Target group

The target group we focus on are Amsterdam inhabitants, expats, businessmen, etc. What we offer are fully arranged tours including experienced skipper through Amsterdam. These are luxury tours with catering, aimed at company outings, business lunches, team outings, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, bachelor parties and the like. We do not specifically focus on tourists. So it is not about 'as cheap as possible', but rather the value of the experience, good service and the luxurious feeling that fits the higher segment.

Colors, favourites and other requirements

The boat is white and blue (dark, navy blue), with woodwork. The logo must match, but also stand out sufficiently at the side of the boat (which is white). The name of the shipping company may appear in it: Rederij Voogd. The logo can also radiate something 'nautical', and you can fully enjoy the classic / modern ratio. We are open to creativity. Preferably a striking logo that is not like that of the 'old-fashioned' shipping companies here in Amsterdam.

Mooie vorm van de boot! Het lettertype mag moderner. Qua kleur meer donkerblauw (navy/marine). Wellicht de letters ook in dezelfde kleur als de boot?
