It all started with an idea...

A short, interactive guide helped them discover their design style and clearly captured what they needed.

Needs

I’m searching a logo for my extreme sports website http://TheNew.SixSections.com. I just need the logo and a card, no letter design.

The letters SixSections should be dominant in the design. The competition sports Bike Trial is made in 6 sections - that’s were the name comes from. TheNew is the new subdomain after a relaunch of the website. So it’s possible to set it up a bit. The .com should fit to the SixSections letters.

The main goal is to get a „cool" design. Skate and BMX designs are a good hint for you.

Feel free to use a silhouette of a trials rider, or bike parts as graphical elements, such as a chain, a tire tread or a pinion.

Sorry about the small budget, but this is more than the yearly income from Google-Adwords :-(

Company description

SixSections is reporting (as absolute non profit) about the mostly unknown extrem sport Bike Trial. It reports on events and competitions but it has a clear positions on all topics concerning questions about the sport itself. So a clear and strict design would be best.

Target group

The site is for the riders and the guys behind them. The riders are between 10 and 30, the minders are between 30 and 60. Most readers should be between 15 and 25 of age.

Colors, favourites and other requirements

Perhaps green, friendly colors. The design should work on bright, dark and on surfaces with high contrast such as sport pictures as a branding in the corner. It should be able to be used in black and white, too.

Das liegende S unter der Schrift gefällt mir gut ;-)
Ich würde jetzt erst mal noch ein paar andere Entwürfe abwarten wollen und mich dann nochmal mit Feedback melden. Bisher finde ich das Logo Klasse!

Hier die abgeänderte Version für Trials inklusive zwei Anwendungsbeispiele mit Hintergrund auf Fotos, groß und klein.

So ist es ja dann oft. Jetzt, wo ich es sehe finde ich die Idee gar nicht mehr so gut. Sieht mehr wie ein Industriekletterer aus ;-) Aber als Hintergrund einen grau transparenten Balken zu nehmen sieht gut aus.

Kann man das "TheNew." als Variante auch hochkant vor das erste S stellen?

Also das TheNew. und .com quase den Rahmen um SixSections bilden. Beides eventuell dann orange...

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

hier mein Vorschlag zu Ihrem neuen Logo.

Einfaches klares, starkes Symbol.
Abstrahiertes Bike aus "S" und "X".

Zusätzlich als Variation mit TrialBiker.

Anhängend einige Anwendungsbeispiele sowie ein Displaybeispiel auf einem Sportfoto.

Über ein ausführliches Feedback würde ich mich freuen.

Hallo Herr Siera,

das gefällt mir schon mal sehr gut! Die Farben passen und die Idee mit S und X ist Klasse. Auch den Trialer mit aufzunehmen ist eine gute Idee, wir haben an den Bikes aber keine Sättel. Also müsste da ein Trialer aus einem Bild abstrahiert werden, wenn das nicht zu viel Aufwand ist. Typische Trial-Bilder zeigen einen Fahrer auf dem Hinterrad, dann wäre es nicht schlecht, wenn auch das S sozusagen auf dem Hinterrad stehen würde.
