A short, interactive guide helped them discover their design style and clearly captured what they needed.

Needs

Design a new logo for “Dukes of Data”. We do need a complete corporate design portfolio.

The logo will be used mainly in an online environment.

Company description

The Dukes of Data are a group of highly experienced IT pros in regards of processing data to gain insights and reports. Located in Vienna, Austria we operate worldwide with our platform for esports players to take their next steps in becoming a pro gamer.

We are dukes of data, no the kings or queens - we don’t own the data we work with. We help data owners to get insights and analytics they won’t have so far.

The abbreviation DoD also means “definition of done” in IT context. We are committed to finish the projects we start. We are committed to enable our customers to go ahead along without any further help.

Target group

For our online platform we highly address gamers:
* 80% male
* Age 16-30
* Highly interested in technology

For our consulting service we talk about:
* Companies with data warehouse technologies
* Managers, relying on reporting
* Analysts, who need consulting to gain new insights

Colors, favourites and other requirements

A combination of heraldic armor and high tech symbols would be great, no specific colors preferred,

Interesting position of the two Ds and a nice square o in the middle.
The font is great, love it.

Unfortunatly this one does not stand out enough. Sure, there is something new in it but it does not reflect our company.

This is something completly different to others. We can see that you took some inspiration from other competitors.

But it is a bit lost. There is no meaning, no message. It is to incomplete for Ds and Os and the two lines on the left look a bit lost.

This one is better than the DOG before. Unfortunatly it does not hit us - although the triangle A are cool.
But the whole logo must fit our mindmodel.

Hi Zahir,

thanks for entering the competition.

We can see that you thought about a futuristic font and then about the incorporating the DoD of the initials.

We must admit that this does not work for us. It is very hard, to find a shape of DoD which stands out and can survive on its own.

If you have a look at the other proposals, there are many tries to make DoD work. This is super-hard. The real outstanding logos are either super reduced formal grafics or something completly different.
