It all started with an idea...

A short, interactive guide helped them discover their design style and clearly captured what they needed.

Needs

Develop a strong logo and beautiful corporate identity for the DUTCH TRIATHLON SERIES in short DTS. In the long term, DTS must be recognizable enough to the target group to refer to the Dutch Triathlon Series, but it must be possible to communicate with both.

The DTS now includes four triathlon races; The Bosbaan Triathlon (Amstelveen), The HLMRMEER Triathlon (Haarlemmermeer), The Ouderkerkerplas Triathlon (Ouderkerk ad Amstel) and the Grand Prix Triathlon Zandvoort (Zandvoort). I would like to see this reflected in the house-style and leave it up to you how you name them (whole name or only place). It may be that more locations will be added at a later stage, so there must be “space” for this and can therefore easily be adapted to the house style.

Triathlon is first swimming, then cycling and then running. We focus on the Sprint distance (Sprint: 750m-20km-5km) and the Olympic Distance (OD: 1500m-40km-10km).

I am a fan of strong subtitles and want to use these; It's not about how you do it but why you do it. But also: triathletes never quit! Or maybe even both in a row.

The logo and corporate identity are not only reflected on our websites and social media, but also on our events. So the choice of color is very important. It should radiate both power and fun because it is literally the decoration of the event! We use hundreds of fence banners so consider that in your design. We also have many flagpoles with banner flags at our events. Also consider how the brand is clearly visible on something so narrow and elongated but very visible as a flag in banner form. Do not forget the thousands of swimcaps that we use every year, so that the logo must be clearly visible!

Company description

Amsterdam Sport Events BV is specialized in organizing triathlons and other sports events, including Spartan Race and Swim to Fight Cancer.

Target group

Our target group is very broad. From 14 to 74 years old. We have first timers, but the top of NL is also at the start with us. (Large) companies also participate with colleagues in business teams.

Colors, favourites and other requirements

Personal victory, tough, character, finish, competition, winners! Triathletes never quit. With DUTCH in the name, it seems logical to think in the direction of our tricolor and/or orange. Those colors give a cheerful appearance in the decoration of events, so I am very curious what that will look like. But I am also a fan of the color gold. I often order the swim caps in gold. Still a color of winners. So a touch of gold is appreciated. Ultimately, I am always open to totally new ideas and insights (hence this competition) so be creative and do what you do best! leuk over dat logo nagedacht met blauw als water maar die zwemmer herken je nog niet zo snel. Je moet wel even kijken om het te zien. maar zeker leuk bedacht. Lettertype DTS wel een beetje saai helaas.
