It all started with an idea...

A short, interactive guide helped them discover their design style and clearly captured what they needed.

Needs

VOLT is a new electrical company. we do electrical work and services for domestic, commercial and industrial projects.

Will you design our logo and business card?

logo requirements:
- simple but catchy
- strong and reliable
- dynamic and young
- may be playful
- not too many straight lines, we like things to go round

We might cut the one third of the business card (just to be different) so would be good to have two kinds of business cards: one normal lay out, the second one with no design on the bottom third.

Company description

VOLT is a new business, we do electrical services and installations, for domestic households or commercial and big industries. It is a young and dynamic company with national and international ambitions. We are reliable, professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

Target group

Domestic, industrial and commercial. new building projects, renovations, industrial installations

Colors, favourites and other requirements

- Text for logo and business card: VOLT (upper line) elektrische installaties (bottom line)
- Colours: dark blue with beige or gold, adding a third colour is an option
- We need to be able to enlarge the image for car stickers and banners, please foresee a vector graphic design
- two designs for the business card, one where we can cut off the bottom third.
- business card should be very simple (but strong!) on one side, the other side had the contact details

- Possible ideas are:

1. an inverted image with dark blue background
2. using the 'standby' or 'power' symbol; a line partially within a circle
3. something with a cable
4. a thumbs up symbol, replace the thumb by a bulb
5. a moose, the antlers could represent the electricity

En in beige/nachtblauw is ook niet verkeerd...

Deze kleuren vinden we best. Momenteel is het logo vrij technisch, wat zeker toepasselijk is, maar we hebben ook een particuliere doelgroep die we willen aantrekken. Misschien kan je het logo nog iets 'vriendelijker ofte uitnodigender maken? Dank

En wanneer je een hoekje van het kaartje af zou knippen (of beter; snijden), wat ik om op te vallen overigens overbodig vindt, dan zou dat er zo uit kunnen zien.
