It all started with an idea...

A short, interactive guide helped them discover their design style and clearly captured what they needed.

Needs

we need a name for our project (virtual platform). we are transforming higher education traditional lectures into atractive and engaging learning objects for both teachers and students.
Our main focus is Humanities and our target customers are universities, our end-users are higher ed students.
the virtual plataform will also have podcasts, videos, contests, exercises, communities for the different disciplines, wikis and a place for gathering of graduates (findmyclass).

A virtual platform for classes need to have a 'warm' atmosphere, by building togetherness and kinship in the website. Togetherness means sharing by 'gathering', and it is happening in a class.

I combined two words that represents the project that you are building now; "Gather" and "Class".

Let me tell you the philosophy.

"Class" is the term for the website where students/teachers/lecturers
sharing/watching podcasts, videos, joining contests and communities from different disciplines, also doing exercises. Just like a class.

"Gather" means togetherness. By having togetherness, a kinship will automatically built, and then more people joining the website and attached to it. Naming this project "Gatherclass" is the first step, of course you need more strategies to make this 'togetherness' happen between users in the virtual platform.

And sure, this name is clean, easy to spell and recognised.
