It all started with an idea...

A short, interactive guide helped them discover their design style and clearly captured what they needed.

Needs

Develop an original new design for shop.glasatelier-saillart.be
Clean and modern, should distinct itself from common designs and be clearly recognizable

The menu on the left I think is too dominant, I would like to see that changed


The website is in html and php and for design css
That is a platform built in Germany
(Therefore initially only design and no technical execution)

The HTML code is not accessible to us, only CSS can be customized

Special adjustments (some) can be requested and made in Germany (HTML or special scripts)

Menus can be moved or get other content

Colors to make everything look a little fresher
There should not be two logos on the page
Use white logo if you want more freedom to use other colors

Company description

we have a glassblowing shop (custom fabrication of laboratory glassware)
we sell all laboratory supplies to professional customers (shop)

Target group

laboratories, chemical industry, OEM fabrication of glass parts to other industries, shools, universities

Colors, favourites and other requirements

Colors I leave to the designer: it must be a nice coherent whole

At least one logo on the page

Menus that are available and may be customized (you can rearange most of these menus, switch menu items to different menus, this is only to show you what we already have on the page)

1) Top navigation 1 (now made with icons) Size Now 340 x 55 px (can be customized)

Show PDF document / Favorites (not visible to guests, only after login) / Products by brand / Search with images / History

Show PDF document can be deleted and moved to footer (is not very important here)

2) top navigation 2 size now 800 x 21 px (can be customized)

Home / Contact / Glassblower / lab reactor / folder / labo spring 2017 / actions

Home can be changed to ICON in order to save space

3) left menu (now takes a lot of space and may be completely different)
Size now 360 x 657 px (can be customized)

SEARCH FIELD (+ 2 hidden fields detail search (dropdown menu))
Size now 727 x 43 px (can be customized)
I prefer a large (main) search field (as much as it is now, but the word search can simply be replaced by an icon)

Properties Shopping Cart: We have only one icon with or without text (with a textballoon on the hover), the number of items in the shopping cart is indicated (more not)

the mega menu should open when icon clicked (no opening on hover)
we have too many categories to display them all on screen (when always visible)
the menu should prevent as much as possible the customer to scroll off the screen (that is why we have the current solution on our website)

Beste smd

Ik vind dit zeker een verbetering tov wat het nu is.
kan je nog eens mijn extra instructies ivm menu's bekijken.
het menu links neemt nog altijd veel plaats in (rekening houden met productpagina's die altijd naast dit menu komen te staan in dit geval)
en hoe zie je dat in opengeklapte versie

ik geef 3 sterren, maar het zouden er ook bijna 4 kunnen zijn
het oogt in ieder geval frisser tov het huidige ontwerp

hou er wel rekening mee dat twee breedtes moeilijk realiseerbaar zijn in ons systeem
