Needs

What is it about?:
In the Paris Climate Targets it has been agreed that the emission of carbon dioxide in aviation must be reduced. This means that flying must be SUSTAINABLE in order to be EMISSION-FREE in general aviation from 2050 onwards. We are not that far yet, but there is now an urgent need.

In order to speed up the transition to more sustainable aviation, we will soon be setting up the PLATFORM DUURZAAM VLIEGEN (in English: Platform Sustainable Flying). By sharing knowledge and experiences, PDV stimulates innovations that support the transition to ELECTRIC HYBRID FLYING. To boost this, inspiration, knowledge and cooperation from the sector, business, education, government and the general public are needed. In addition, the platform wants to take a leading position for the Netherlands in the field of electrification of aviation.

New forms of electric hybrid flying are nearby; we have a generation to realise this!

What is general aviation?:
General aviation in the Netherlands is the collective name for non-commercial and non-cargo aircrafts. For example small planes for sightseeing flights, flying schools, aerial photography, helicopters, hot air balloons, gliders, drones and private jets. Dutch pilots do receive their training in general aviation. Innovations in the GENERAL AVIATION therefore form the basis for making commercial aviation more sustainable. Almost 90% of the total Dutch air fleet (around 2,300 aircrafts) is part of general aviation.

What do we want?:
We are looking for a modern logo and corporate identity for Platform Duurzaam Vliegen. It will be used for the online platform, but also in all other communications. One logo is important for recognition! We are not stuck with color combinations, everything is still open. As general aviation covers a variety of aircrafts, the logo must provide recognition for all parties and must have an association with sustainability.
