Design webpages for a online 3D print concept

Needs

Protocow helps 3D printers save time and increase their revenue. All based on no cure no pay. We started Protocow to make the 3D market grow. Our first product is now ready. Soon we will launch even more products.


Targetgroup

Our targetgroup is 3D printers. Business to business. A 3D printer could be described with the following terms:

• Technical
• No nonsense
• Focussed
• Practical
• Sensible

The following description of a persona should give you the right idea about our targetgroup:
A man, 53 years old, living in Helmond (suburb in the Netherlands), married with 3 children. He owns a manufacturing company since 1993. One of his business activities is 3D printing. He is a conservative businessman and values clarity, practical solutions and functional actions.

Design

We want to challenge you to design three different web pages for our website. A homepage, a My Site and a FAQ page. Additionally we would like you to design a style guide for our website.
In the style guide we would like you to put your standard HTML elements. The following link could be used as your basis for the HTML elements in the style guide:

The design of your pages must be based upon elements available in the Bootstrap framework. More information about Bootstrap can be found here:

To give you an impression what we are looking for in terms of layout and general design, you can use the Appstrap theme as leading example. The example uses four columns. We would like to have three.

For additional use of images, please use the provided images.

For the My Site we want you to combine the functionality (components) of the Bootstrap theme Base Admin with the visual design from the Appstrap theme. Again please use the icons and images provided by us.
The FAQ page must also be based upon the style from Appstrap.


Colors, favorites and other requirements

Use our logo and let it inspire you in your design. Also consider our logo as leading when you think about use of colour and typography. We would like to see shades/hues of our logo in your page design. Please remember that we strictly operate business to business. We want to have a businesslike design.
